Matt Shaw

Matt Shaw was born on July 27th 1982 and quickly began on a musical roller-coaster. At the age of 10 Matt was a grade 6 pianist and was regularly offered places in the choir at Chester Cathedral due to his exceptional vocal ability.

Instead Matt chose to perform in big productions of musicals including Jesus Christ Superstar and South Pacific to name but two.

At just 16 years of age Matt was a reserve on series 11 of ITV's hit show Stars In Their Eyes. The following series Matt featured against fellow contestants Leo Sawyer, Macy Gray, Doris Day and the fantastic Andy Williams. Matt Was victorious and booked his place in the Grand Final of December 2000.

After finishing second in the overall series final with a staggering 138,000 votes in under 1 hours voting Matt became the highest scoring Meat Loaf impersonator EVER to appear on the show. Not only that but he is also the worlds youngest tribute to the Rock Legend that is Meat Loaf.
After Stars In Their eyes Matt Shaw and his Tribute were in big demand and started to tour the Uk and Europe, filling venues to capacity wherever he went.

Matt is a big man with a huge personality, not too dissimilar to his Idol Meat and can mesmerise crowds with his vocal ability and presence.

Matt has pushed himself to the limit on tour for 9 years and now see's his tribute the most popular in the country with no signs of slowing down.
